Podgora is a small place situated in the heart of Dalmatia, on the Makarska Riviera. Because of its favorable position, the place has been inhabited very early. It was first mentioned in 1571 in written records. The population has long been involved in fishing, marine and, more recently, tourism. Tourism started to develop in 1962 and became one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Dalmatia. Visit historical sites such as: tower on the Roscici hill (adapted for inhabitants over time), All Saints church (built in 1764), Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (was built in 1804 by the Mrkusic family), Punta Podgore with the medieval cemetery and St.Tekla Church (significant to local fishermen as a place to which a lot of fish come with the sea tides). During the summer months, Podgora organizes numerous manifestations and festivities such as the fishing night, folklore evenings and many others. This place is a true paradise for those who wish to spend their vacation away from the summer crowds, surrounded by the Mediterranean vegetation, beautiful beaches and crystal clear water. Sports and active vacation fans can enjoy football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, cycling, hiking, diving, sailing and many more water activities. Makarska is one of the most famous tourist destinations on the Croatian coast. The city is full of tourist activities and everyone is sure to find something to their liking. Omiš is a small Mediterranean town located at the mouth of the river Cetina. Of its historical characteristics, we emphasize the following: the fortresses Mirabela and Fortica, parish church of St. Michael, Franciscan monastery, churches of St. Peter, Holy Spirit, the Illyrian seminary, old cemetery, medieval town center, pole of shame and the old town lodge. Sports fans can take part in river rafting on the Cetina, free climbing, wind surfing, swimming marathon, beach volleyball and other activities.

Dubrovnik is a city of unique and world-famous cultural heritage and beauty. It is known as one of the most attractive and most famous UNESCO cities of the Mediterranean. You can visit its various historical sites such as: city walls, St. Luke’s tower, forts Minčeta, Lovrijenac, Revelin and Bokor, Rector’s palace, Onofrio’s fountain, Sponza palace, Dubrovnik cathedral, St. Blaise church, Franciscan monastery, Ronald Brown memorial home, Rupe ethnographic museum, Orlando’s statue, the city bell tower and many others.

      Porgora a quiet destination, is now suitable for families with children than for young people. We really liked the location, the food is incredibly good everywhere. We would have liked to be more clubs and entertainment, but overall it was a holiday exactly as we wanted.
